SPECIFICATIONS 5 NEX USA – SEPTEMBER 2022 RETURN-SURFACES Unauthorized configurations: Non-recommended configurations: The short leg must always be placed on top of the storage module. It is recommended that a storage module be positioned beneath a surface and with a recess of approximately 2" (51 mm) when the surface and its legs have knife edgebanding. The storage module depth must be equal or greater than that of the surface. Stacking certain pieces of furniture may render their drawers partially or completely inaccessible beneath the surface. It is preferable to choose a different storage configuration. The junction between a surface and a return must lie along a low storage module. A careful selection of furniture depths helps avoid a situation where the storage module exceeds the surface depth. Stackables must be placed above solid structures such as desk legs or storage modules. Return-surfaces can be used to create meeting surfaces that are perpendicular to a given surface. They are always connected to another surface with mounting brackets (included). Modular modesty panels with steel ties have been designed for use with them. Refer to page 15.
