Suspended storage units with drop-down door that are installed side by side must be strengthened with a flat bracket. A suspended storage unit with a 24" (610 mm) lower shelf requires additional corner or end brackets when the panel is 24" (610 mm) wide, and a reinforcement bar when the panel is of a different width. For balanced and unbalanced layouts including suspended storage units with drop-down door, with or without a shelf , the return panel(s) and base panels must have the same height. For layouts including suspended storage units with drop-down door and no shelf , the suspended storage units must be installed side by side along the entire run of the base panels or symmetrically at the ends. For layouts including suspended storage units with drop-down door and with shelf , a corner or end brackets must be installed at the end of the return panel. A workstation including suspended storage units with upper and lower shelves does not have the same span.
