Groupe Lacasse > Social Responsibility Report 2022

3 Diversity and Inclusiveness Community is at the center of who we are and what we do. Our employees are dedicated and passionate about furniture, and without them, we would not be able to offer high-quality products. It is only fitting that we aspire to provide them the best possible work environment and experience. One of our core values is inclusiveness. There ’ s no doubt in our minds that as a company, we are more innovative and a better corporate citizen because of the diversity of our members. We ’ ve put in place different practices and policies to encourage diversity and inclusion, with the goal of building and solidifying our diverse internal community. It is important for us to offer a work environment that is open and tolerant, respectful of everyone’s different experiences. In our offices, we have a workforce composed of 52% of women and 48% of men, whereas is on factories, we have 30% of women and 70% of men. We currently have more than 37% of women in our workforce, an increase of 3% compared to 2020, and almost 30% of women in top executive positions. We continue to work hard to promote female leadership and equity in the workplace. As of early 2023, we have 21% of our employees that their country of birth is other than Canada, an increase of 10% from 2020. We have employees from all over the world: Algeria, Cameroon, Cuba, France, Haiti, Ivory Coast, Iran, Mexico, Salvador, and Ukraine. We firmly believe that this diversity strengthens our community. Because recruitment in the manufacturing world is getting increasingly difficult, we are proud to have 34 sponsored foreign workers from Mauritius, Colombia, and Mexico, and 22 are yet to arrive. As this is their first experience in Canada, we are determined to take all measures necessary to facilitate their integration and life in Québec. Housing, transportation, social activities, just to name a few will be taken care to alleviate their integration and provide them the easiest arrivals possible. We work with different partners, as our factory unions, different regional and provincial organizations, to maximize our chances of a better partnership and integration. Health and Safety We strive to always be open and responsive to our members and their needs. We try to provide the safest work environment possible. In 2022, we managed to reduce the number of accidents by almost 18%. We have made health and safety training an integral part of a new employee’s raining, and we make sure that everyone working has the expected level of knowledge required in this field. We also offer different health programs, whether it ’ s physical or psychological, for any employee that needs it. We hired in 2022 a health and safety advisor that works daily in collaboration with our production teams. All efforts are made to reduce dangerous situations, by prevention, constant training, and follow-ups internally. OUR PEOPLE, OUR COMMUNITY
